As has been stated by many people--Climate Change does present some potentially serious risks, even in the developed world including the United States.
In addition to the possibility of deadly heat waves, a warming planet can, among other things, spread disease faster, exacerbate air pollution and asthma, contaminate food and water, and cause gastrointestinal disease.
Some risk factors:
a. Children
b. Over 65 years old
c. Chronic medical conditions
e. Low family income
f. Area with unhealthy air quality
g. Region prone to harmful climate change

Children under the age of four are especially susceptible to smog and soot pollution because lungs are still developing. Heat waves and food and waterborne diseases are particularly harmful to young children.
Bad air quality, transmitted diesease and illnesses exacerbate problems for the elderly and people with chronic medical conditions, such as heart problems, respiratory illnesses, and diabetes.
For information on states and localities with various types of climate action plans go to Adaptation Planning. (At the present time neither Missouri nor Kansas have undertaken any plan.)

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
How do I go on record as stating this whole global warming charade is a giant hoax?
