While the climate denial nonsense is certainly irritating at the very least, especially when it comes from the likes of fossil fuel barons and political buffoons such as U.S. Senator James Inhoff, we can't waste our time with the assorted yahoos or members of the flat earth society.
It means that more of us have to get in the game, be a lot smarter, and realize that the average politician in Washington, D.C. is not going to make the necessary changes without a great deal of constant pressure.

That certainly is one of the questions. I think we're only beginning to stumble toward an answer. A component may be public financing of campaigns, I'm not sure. But in light of the problems now confronting us, the U.S. Congress, as it currently works, seems increasingly irrelevant.
