A Single Generation

Quite by accident I came across this riveting presentation by Professor Elizabeth Warren. Of note is that her talk was given in 2007, more than a year before the Howdy Doody economic system we created in America finally unraveled.

Professor Warren is a well known and well respected authority in bankruptcy and commercial law at Harvard Law School. She has for some time been a strong critic of America's credit economy. Warren succinctly points out in her presentation what happened to us in only a single generation.

Health in America

I was at Kansas University Medical Center yesterday morning meeting with some people. I learned that arthritis was the leading cause of disability in the United States.

What else I found out about the disease is that if caught in time it is usually treatable; most people can live quite normal lives without the ever increasing debilitating effects. Of course this means access to affordable health care as well as education. The new drugs that are currently available are quite expensive as well. Anyway....
